It is a known fact that plastic water bottles must never be reused. But before you rush to the market to buy just any reusable metal bottle you can get your hands on, ask yourself what guarantee do you have that it is absolutely safe?
Consumers have recently begun swiching massively to reusable metal water bottles to avoid bisphenol-A (BPA), a chemical that leaches into water contained in plastic water bottles and interferes with the female hormone estrogen. But the same metal bottles manufacturer that professed the dangers of BPA and encouraged consumers to switch to its brand of metal bottles has been found to be not entirely truthful about the safety of its bottles.
Some traces of BPA were found in the liners of its bottles.
Who then should the consumers trust?
